Field of Dreams isn't really a sports film, but a supernatural Capra-esque fantasy. It only uses baseball as a metaphor.

As for The Mighty Ducks, I had a colleague who thought all three films were the greatest trilogy of all time. He kept voting in an online Empire magazine poll of the greatest trilogies, thousands of times, with the result that the trilogy ended up listed in their final result with the hilarious opener: "You guys! You were kidding, right?" (Scroll down to number 25 - it gave us a big laugh in the office that day.)
