Firstly, this was a fascinating, gripping read. I really hope you manage to banish whatever has infiltrated your home via the priest you've asked to visit.

The most dramatic example of something like this happening to me was in the house prior to the one in which we now live. At that point, it was just me, my wife, and my then not-quite two year-old son. Ordinarily I pray in every room whenever I move into a new place, to dispel anything untoward, but for some reason, on this occasion, I had neglected to do so.

Anyway, this would have been the summer of 2006, which was a bloody hot summer (this is important, as you'll see in a moment). At about 1am (or thereabouts) we heard a scream from our son's bedroom. Unless he was ill, he always slept very soundly, so this was highly unusual.

I got up, opened his door, and as I crossed the threshold, the temperature took a nose dive. I could see my breath, as though it were winter, and every hair on the back of my neck stood up. Something malevolent was in that room, and my son could evidently sense it too.

When encountering this kind of spiritual nastiness, I always feel repelled, like oil and water or poles of a magnet repelling, if that makes sense. Anyway, I actually felt irritated rather than frightenend, and a sense of righteous anger rose up within me. I found myself simply stating: "In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, you have no right to be here. I command you to leave this house."

Within a second or two, the temperature returned to normal. My son stopped screaming and dropped back off to sleep. I went back to bed, and the following day I did what I had previously neglected to do and prayed in every room (I think I may have anointed the door posts of each room as well, with oil).

I know a lot of people don't believe in this stuff. I'm not trying to twist any arms. But experiences of this kind have simply confirmed my faith to me, over the years. :)
