For some reason, this reminded me of the episode of Blackadder Goes Forth when Captain Blackadder (Rowan Atkinson) is court martialled for some ridiculous reason, and ineptly defended by Lt George (Hugh Laurie). In his summing up, George says: "Having heard the evidence in question, there can be no doubt whatsoever, that Captain Blackadder is totally, and completely, guilty." George sits, then Blackadder turns over his piece of paper with the summing up text. George leaps to his feet again, realising he's not quite finished: "...of nothing more that trying to do his job under difficult circumstances." So funny.

Anyway, great article. :)
