Funnily enough, I'm currently working on a load of different short stories for my upcoming dystopian anthology, and one of these, initially projected at 10,000 words (most of my short stories are around that length) wound up at 20,000, so I suppose that makes it a novella instead. Oh well... As long as people like the story, I daresay it won't matter.
