Generation X here: I love most of these and with the exception of Poltergeist think they are all fine at PG (some of them were U in the UK, our lowest rating). Parental Guidance meant some scenes may not be suitable for young children. Fair warning as far as I'm concerned. These days in the UK, the BBFC are far stricter at the lower end of the certification spectrum, but in the gloriously cavalier days of the 1970s and 1980s (and much of the 1990s) it was a different matter. A lot of these films have now been upgraded to 12A in the UK (equivalent to PG-13 in the US), which is a certificate that didn't exist at the time (hence films like Jaws, Ghostbusters, and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom all getting PG, because the alternative was a restrictive 15 rating, when no one under 15 is admitted).
