Given that Anglican and Catholic doctrines believe in literal transubstantiation, it really isn't the same. But as a Christian myself (aligned with no particular denomination, though raised evangelical) I don't believe in transubstantiation at all. I can't see a theological basis for it in the Bible either, as when Jesus shares the Last Supper, it is obviously intended as a metaphor.
