Good article. Most of my short stories are between 10,000 and 15,000 words, and I struggle to write anything shorter. I've had a couple of short stories published in anthology volumes, and perhaps one of these days I'll self publish a volume of my best. I've published a few on Medium too (in Illumination), mostly in four parts per story, although the most recent story, Trial Period, I published in full.
