Good article. I'm glad that you managed to come to terms with who you are, and not listen to idiotic social constructs about the supposedly over-sensitive. There's a Mount Everest of difference between being sensitive and being annoying, and in my experience genuinely sensitive people are never annoying. They are hugely important and play pivotal roles in keeping the rest of us sane.

I actually consider myself an extremely sensitive person, but my wife says that sensitivity is buried under an iron clad cynical exterior, reinforced with barbed wire fences, minefields, machine gun posts, drone aerial surveillance, and guard dog patrols - and that said sensitivity has been "outsourced" to books and films (there are loads of emotional films that make me cry).
