Good article. I've slightly changed my mind on this film since I wrote this review from the original cinema release. I found the first half superior to the second, with the satirical aspects front and centre, and once certain plot elements were revealed, I thought to myself "Oh, it's that kind of horror film", and became less impressed. However, I've since changed my mind a bit, partly because my eyes have been opened to aspects of systemic racism (mainly but not exclusively in the US), that in my ignorance I believed had long since disappeared. Sadly I was wrong. Anyway, thanks for the article.
