Good for you. We had the same situation, and were also able to make that choice as my work brought in sufficient money for us to do so. My wife chose to stay at home with ours for seventeen years, and is really glad she did. She's now back in the workplace (by choice), doing brilliantly, and is very happy there. Unlike me, she has a proper job, rather than my job of "full time writer". Hahahahaha!
Anyway, as I said, good for you. I think people need to mind their own business when it comes to this sort of thing. Each to their own. Whatever works best for the individuals and families concerned. As my wife used to say (paraphrasing), who gives an airborne fornication if someone thinks you aren't living up to a feminist ideal?
