Good for your son! I'd have been proud too. I have my own story of similar nonsense with my youngest and school librarians, but I'll spare you the madness (essentially they didn't want him reading Watership Down, so I just gave him my copy at home to read instead, before heading to the school and giving them both barrels, so to speak).
