Good point about Ken Loach. I, Daniel Blake is another of his highlighting serious social issues here in the UK. Mind you, he's been doing that since Cathy Come Home and Kes in the 1960s. Hidden Agenda and Ladybird, Ladybird are also very good, and my favourite of his is probably Land and Freedom. Not that I agree with all his political views (to put it mildly).
