I've not seen Velma as I'm a bit of a Scooby Doo fundamentalist. However, I do enjoy Rick and Morty, so I'm not offended because of edgier aspects, per se.

However, from what I understand, both sides in the so-called US culture wars seem to have taken offence at Velma. The excellent Paul Combs contributes this take, if you're interested. I don't know a bigger Scooby Doo fan, and he doesn't hate it because it's woke or not woke, he hates it because he thinks it is unmitigated flatulence.
