Great anecdote about your childhood. My father wasn't mad about Time Bandits either (too weird for him), but he had good taste in films elsewhere. I wonder if it's odd that I like both John Wayne films and Gilliam films? There isn't really any kind of film I'm not interested in, if they're done well. :)
