Great article. There are some fine cathedrals local to where I live - including Exeter, for instance (not Catholic, but I'm sure you'd find it interesting in any case). The Buckfast Abbey Monastery is even closer, in Buckfastleigh. That one is Catholic, and it has a rich history (I've visited several times, and it is a location featured in my adventure novel Uncle Flynn). :)
