Great article, and I completely agree. The whole "not having enough faith" thing is utter bullshit. As for the parenting analogy, it is spot-on. I am not a perfect father, but I love my children and there's no way I'd behave the way certain evangelicals say God behaves as a father. If I'm not perfect, and God is perfect, and a perfect father, then I'd say we can safely dismiss such rubbish as you say. I hope that ramble made sense. :)
