Great memory! I discovered The Lord of the Rings in the school library after our class were read The Hobbit in instalments (which I also loved). I mentioned it to my father, who had his own copy (which was divided into three parts), and I then read the volumes we had at home. Every spare moment of my life, I was in Middle Earth. At the end I cried - not just because of the events in the finale, but because it was over. I've lost count of the number of times I've read it since.
