Great piece. I refuse to consider any of my favourite 1980s songs guilty pleasures, but certainly I know my love of Stock, Aiken, and Waterman raises eyebrows at times (ie Kylie Minogue, Rick Astley, Mel and Kim, etc). Plus I actually quite liked a couple of Five Star and Bros singles (the single version of The Slightest Touch and the single version of I Owe You Nothing respectively - both superior to the album versions).

Don't worry, I love Bruce Springsteen, Guns n Roses, The Smiths, etc as well.
