Guillermo Del Toro is wonderful for what he said, and I love him even more for it. As for me, I concur with everything you say here. After seeing that article in Variety, I rage-wrote a Martin Scorsese appreciation article, which will probably appear sometime next month as I've got everything for October meticulously planned (and mostly written) already, so it will probably have to wait. No one disrespects Marty and gets away with it.
