Hahahahaha! I discovered Poe at a similar age (about 12, I think). :)

…hort story is so gruesome that it becomes entertaining instead. It’s both believable and laughable — making it a perfect read for 13-year-old Andie who’d already read all the Edgar Allen Poe she could find.
