Hamas are driven by a charter that calls for the extermination of the Jewish people and the destruction of Israel. I have compassion for Palestinians caught up in this demonic maelstrom of intimidation, indoctrination, hatred, violence, and death. I have no compassion for the Hamas ideology itself, which is utterly vile. The peace and two-state solution I wish for will not happen whilst Hamas are involved in this process. And whilst I am unrepentantly pro-Israeli interests, before anyone accuses me of bias, I also believe Netanyahu is corrupt, dictatorial, and has made some very bad decisions (though not guilty of genocide by any reasonable definition of the word). He ought to leave office, as he should have done before this current conflict began (his attempts at overthrowing the power of the Supreme Court in Israel were particularly alarming).

In short, we need peacemakers in Israel and Gaza, on both sides.
