Yes, Where Eagles Dare was a fabulous staple of growing up. I'd love to see that one in the cinema one of these days. It was one of my father's favourites too. And I could bore you to tears about my favourite westerns (I consider the genre America's greatest contribution to world cinema).

Anyway, thank you for reading. I've not written about the cult in any great depth elsewhere, though elements of it crop up in disguised form in my novels from time to time (my past is usefully traumatic and provides great inspiration). That said, I did write a little bit more about the cult here:
