Have you actually seen the new film? It's rather good, I think. Not going to change the course of cinema, but certainly delivers the escapist genre goods. If that's not your thing, fair enough - and I certainly take a dim view of the original film's militaristic tendancies - but in many ways, this second film is better than the first (you can see my review here, if you're interested). :)
