He can definitely act, but he isn't Harrison Ford. That's the problem with recasting Han Solo (or Indiana Jones, for that matter). Ford is too iconic and too intrinsically linked with the roles. The same applies to Clint Eastwood and Dirty Harry, Peter Sellers and The Pink Panther (despite various attempts at recasting that), and so forth.

All that said, I thoroughly enjoyed Solo. It's a lot of fun. Third best Star Wars film? Still Return of the Jedi for me. :)
