Here in the UK, we had one school shooting (in 1996, the notorious Dunblane primary school massacre). Our gun laws - which were already strict - were immediately tightened. It hasn't happened again, and shootings of that kind are exceptionally rare in the UK (there have been two since, neither of which were at schools). :)
