Here's the ultimate irony: Generally, my wife and I are the ones listening to new music. My children (now 20 and 15) are the ones listening to David Bowie, Blondie, Joy Division, Madonna, Pet Shop Boys, Queen, Michael Jackson, The Smiths, Guns n Roses, etc. Of course, we love them too, but I have a hard time persuading my children that Arianna Grande, Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, The Weeknd, Olivia Rodrigo, Lewis Capaldi, Rihanna, Ava Max, Lady Gaga, etc have some great tracks as well. They believe great music pretty much ended around the year 2010. They do like some bands from this century, like Muse for instance. But generally they go back to the 90s, 80s, 70s, and 60s (my youngest particularly likes The Rolling Stones, for instance). :)
