Hi Arlo - I think "fair use" covers film posters, and publicity stills used in EPKs (Electronic Press Kits) in the context of a film review, if attributed to the distributor (at least, under UK and US law), as it essentially constitutes publicity for the film. However, I'm going to research whether you may have a point about mentioning the poster artist. At any rate, the publication is Fanfare.

Secondly, I'm sorry you were attacked by a troll re: the gun laws thing. I must confess that from this side of the pond (the UK), we do scratch our heads at the rather inexplicable gun laws in the US. But that's another can of worms.

Yes, this story was curated. I don't really understand what curation means these days (I joined Medium last January and still haven't quite figured it out). But how a story does can be influenced by many factors besides curation, I expect. Thank you again for reading and commenting.
