I only highlighted one sentence, as I felt it would be self-serving to do otherwise, but the highlighted chunk is an important principle for all writers: Studying the craft is vital, and never think you know all you need to know. I believe writers should be eternal students, always discovering and improving their techniques.

Also thank you so much for eloquently whetting the appetite, without any spoilers. It's a tricky balancing act, but you handle it brilliantly.
