Hi George - Yes please re: Blade Runner 2049. I've put you down for it. That's the better choice of the two. As you say, I'm after subplot rather than subtext, and the friendship, queer coded or otherwise, is very much the main plot of First Cow, as opposed to a subplot.

However, on the subject of First Cow: Are you already a Fanfare writer? If so, please send that First Cow piece regardless, outside of the prompt, as it sounds intriguing. I saw the film and read it as purely a platonic friendship, but that doesn't mean there isn't subtext I missed, and I'd be interested to hear more.

If you're not a Fanfare writer, once you've written the piece on Blade Runner 2049 and it is approved, you'll be added as a writer so can send the First Cow piece whenever you please.
