Thank you, Mark. It is definitely worth seeing in the cinema if the battles and spectacle are your primary reason for doing so. I am now very curious about the extended cut and whether it will improve the Napoleon/Josephine relationship in particular. And no - it doesn't make my top ten Ridley Scott films, at least not in this version. :)
