Hi Robert- I fully allow for personal preference, guilty pleasures etc , but I just don't think Lynch's Dune can be objectively defended as a good film. If you disagree, fair enough.

I've not seen the Smithee cut of Dune but I did watch that "Spiceminer" fan edit a while back. I don't think it makes the film any better as I have a fundamental problem with the screenplay.
