Hmmm...

My thoughts on Star Wars:

I love the original trilogy. Iconic masterpieces all.

I don't care for the prequels, despite their technical merits (sound, score, visual effects, production design, etc). A massive missed opportunity.

I actually rather like The Force Awakens, even though it is superfluous to artistic requirements. But The Last Jedi I love as it does something genuinely different and interesting (I've written extensively elsewhere about why I rate this one so highly - close to the original trilogy, in fact). The Rise of Skywalker, by contrast, was timid and unconvincing.

I don't really like the idea of Star Wars on TV. The Mandalorian is OK but nothing special to my mind. Andor was interesting and different, but perhaps too different to feel like Star Wars. And again, for me, Star Wars should be on the big screen rather than television.

Quite honestly, I think both Star Wars and Alien need to just stop. Enough. Of course, money is what drives this, which depresses me. So that isn't going to happen.
