Hmmm... Films that traumatised me as a child? One obvious one leaps to mind: E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. I love that film more than I can express in words, but the first time I saw it, the sequence where Elliot's house is invaded by scientists proved so traumatising that I blocked it out. More on my experience here, if you're interested. :)

Beyond that film, perhaps because I'd experienced quite a bit of real life trauma, films didn't really scare me that much as a child. I tended to find scary or disturbing sequences cathartic or thrilling (or both). That's why I loved the films you mentioned here, among many others. It also probably explains (in part) my love of the horror genre.
Have you seen Time Bandits? There's another film that seems to unsettle adults far more than children. To me as a child, the ending of Time Bandits makes perfect sense. To me as an adult, it is horrifying.
