Holy crap. Not how I parented, I can tell you. It was a rigid dictatorship with a strict routine.

Some people questioned why our children were so well behaved. I told them there were three reasons:

1) We showed them scary films.

2) We read them the scariest Bible stories at bedtime, sometimes with dramatic re-enactments.

3) We did outdoor activities together requiring discipline and responsibility that some parents consider "too dangerous".

Our children are now 19 and 14, and still exceptionally well-behaved. I'm very proud of the way both turned out.
