How about a Star Wars film noir? Set in seedy areas of Coruscant, a Marlowe-esque droid PI who is a magnet for females of all species gets gets drawn into a labyrinthine case involving a femme fatale who hires the PI to dig up dirt on various Republic senators for blackmail purposes. Lots of double-crosses ensue, and it turns out said femme fatale is working for Palpatine. It ends with a finale like Chinatown.
