Don't forget Neil Tennant of Pet Shop Boys, who collaborated on three key tracks. His lead vocals on 1992's "Disappointed" gave Electronic their biggest ever UK single (peaking at number 6) because most people assumed it was a Pet Shop Boys record.
Pet Shop Boys were huge in the UK in the late 1980s/1990s, and are still going strong today. They had top ten hits well into the 2000s. They are practically a national institution. However, I don't think they made quite the same impact in the US, save a couple of number one hits like West End Girls and It's a Sin.
Oh, and 1991 was a great year for them too. My personal favourite single from them that year is this gem. The single version is great. But I love the radically different album version too.
