I absolutely could not care less about celebrity shenanigans (including this Will Smith business) but I do agree with your general point about Orwellian, creeping, insidious cancel culture. And I remain a huge unrepentant fan of JK Rowling by the way. She's a terrific writer - not just for the Harry Potter novels, but also for the Strike series. :)
