I actually did watch Raiders of the Lost Ark in monochrome once - on a black and white television set in the mid 1980s. It worked surprisingly well (unlike, say, Star Wars or Superman - they really need the opulent colour). But I'm not sure I could watch this Soderbergh revision all the way through. Stripping out John Williams is like stripping this of its soul, though I do see what Soderbergh was trying to do as an academic exercise drawing attention to shot composition and editing. :)
