I agree. I'm a separate art from artist extremist in any case, but it never ceases to amaze me that people care what actors (and celebrities in general) think on political issues and so forth.

One particularly face-palm example: Sean Penn's monumentally idiotic assertion that the Falkland Islands should be given back to the "indigenous people" by the British subjects there, who have voted several times (with 99 percent majorities) to remain under British rule. Leaving aside the hypocritical lunacy of an American saying this (presumably, Penn isn't keen on abandoning his home country so it can be returned to Native Americans), I'm curious as to which indigenous people he refers. The puffins?
