I agree that was a rubbish sequel.

The American Speak No Evil is written and directed by James Watkins, whose only other project I’ve watched is the unnecessary and poor sequel to the amazing claustrophobic horror thriller The Descent.

I agree that was a rubbish sequel. However, his version of The Woman in Black isn't bad (despite the lunatic miscasting of Daniel Radcliffe) and Eden Lake is properly horrifying.
