I agree the films are great cinema. But the book is just as good in its own right. :)

… scenes from the book flash vividly in front of our eyes, on our TV screens and in the movie halls. For a movie that was made in the early 2000s, it has aged so well. Trust me and go back and watch it again. The effects feel as good if not better than some of the newer age fantasy movies.
