I agree The Haunting of Hill House is a splendid reinvention of the original text (which had already been interpreted more faithfully - and indeed brilliantly - onscreen in Robert Wise's 1963 film version The Haunting). I was a lot less impressed with The Haunting of Bly Manor, and frankly the best screen version of that is still The Innocents (1961), one of my favourite films.
