I agree the only Pirates of the Caribbean film worth a damn is the first one. And I agree that basing a film on a ride (or a computer game for that matter) seems absurd. Still, I try to watch with an open mind and only judge the finished product.

One could argue that Charade is a film based on a cool set of postage stamps. :)
