I also see (or at least used to see) myself in George McFly: socially awkward, loves science fiction, loves writing, a bit of a perv, but also a bit of a frustrated romantic, prone to suffering in silence from afar, and wracked with self-doubt. ("What if I'm no good? I just can't take that kind of rejection!")

However, one difference: I have never let myself be bullied. I always fought back, even when I knew I couldn't win in a physical fight, because eventually the bullies moved on to easier targets.
