I also wrestle with this, but for mercenary reasons. I worry that the Almighty Algorithm will cast me asunder and trample me underfoot, consigning my stories to the ethereal void and never recommending or showing them to anyone ever again.

So yes, I will probably leave an insufferable message when I disappear for a few days at the end of this month. :)
