I am also technically fully Jewish (via my maternal grandmother) but my background is an incredibly complicated mixture of Jamaican, Scottish, Swedish, English, and German Jewish (or further back, Eastern European Jewish). So yes, the backstory is complicated. Perhaps I'll write about it one day. :)
