I can understand and respect this view. However, I still don't really go for so-called positive discrimination (in any form) as an ideology, for all sorts of reasons. I don't care if the actor is gay or straight, as long as they are convincing (in gay or straight roles, I might add - I see no reason why gay actors shouldn't play straight roles if they are the best person for the job, and if they are discriminated against for that reason then I agree that is completely wrong). :)
