I Cannot Applaud Your Story
An apology to all, whilst I wait for Medium to respond.
Hi Everyone. For some reason, when I applaud your stories or comments, the applause then disappears. I have no idea why this is happening, and have contacted the Medium helpdesk to attempt to get to the bottom of it. Please bear with me, and rest assured this is not deliberate. I appreciate and enjoy the articles I read and comment on, and under normal circumstances would applaud. But it seems my ability to render gratitude in this manner has been (hopefully temporarily) exiled to the Phantom Zone.
I’d be curious to know if anyone else is experiencing this problem, or whether the Almighty Algorithm has singled me out for cruel and unusual punishment. Perhaps I blasphemed said Algorithm once too often, and am justly punished for my lack of craven subservience to the gods of AI. At any rate, I hope this matter will be resolved soon.
