I can't really comment on the video game aspect, but The Mummy was a hugely enjoyable Indiana Jones-inspired rehash of the earlier Universal and Hammer versions of the story, and more than held its own in a summer packed other huge releases. 1999 was an amazing year for cinema all round. :)
