I concur that this film doesn't hold up brilliantly today (though I still enjoy revisiting it occasionally). Even at the time, I much preferred Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in the blockbuster stakes that summer (1989).

I actually prefer the second of Burton's Batman efforts, the deliciously twisted Batman Returns. But my favourite Batmans are still the Nolan trilogy (although this year's The Batman was fairly solid too). :)
